SINGLE VISION OR MULTIFOCAL
Single vision is for prescription who are short sighted (hyperopia), far sighted (myopia) and astigmatism (blurred vision at all distant), which means the correction has one focal point at the centre of the lens.
Multifocal (progressive) lenses correct near and everything in between to far focal points that ranges power from the top to the bottom of the lens. This is for wearer who wants to see in a sharper overall in one.
Anti reflective coating (AR) is applied to the lenses to reduce reflection. Without anti glare coating the light will bounce off the outside and inside lenses which will create glare and reflection which makes it harder to see through. It is highly recommended to have AR coating in every pair you get.
Scratch resistance coating is applied to the lenses to prevent from minor scratches from the surface, dust or corrosions. However it is not 100% scratch proof. It act as a protective layer coating which makes the lenses tougher and durable.
An invisible UV-blocking dye is added to the clear lenses to effectively block most of the harmful ultraviolet light (UV). This is to ensure you are 100% protected when under UV light and under the sun.
A thin surface layer of hydrophobic is applied to the lenses that repels water. When droplets hits the lenses instead to leave water droplets mark it fully rebound. Saves you time from having to keep wiping it off clean.
